The sedan version of the new Honda Civic Type R has been spied recently and it is starting a lot of controversies.
The model in question is a very controversial version as some are reporting that this has been caught on camera in Spain. It is a weird action coming from the Japanese brand because initial reports were indicating that the model will be aimed towards the United States market exclusively so finding it on the Old Continent instead probably means that it will also be launched here, because it is quite uncommon for a US-spec vehicle to be developed here. No matter what it is, you may want to check out the video posted below as you may find it in your local Honda dealership in the future.
The current Honda Civic Type R is being offered in a hatchback body style across the European continent and this has been shown back in March, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The hot hatch has 350 mm drilled discs at the front, with four-piston calipers signed by Brembo, along with the Advanced Dual Axis Strut Front Suspension system, four-wheel Adaptive Damper System, retuned steering and much more. Customers can choose between five exterior colors and the most important part of the vehicle is found under its hood, where we can find the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, rated at 310 HP (228 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. This is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission and it is allowing the car to reach 100 km/h (62 mph), from a standstill, in 5.7 seconds and to go to a top speed of 270 km/h (167 mph).
